Danner, darlings og dygtige damer

Bone in the nose and pivcrisp in the papilot!

The city walk starts at the new Danner Statue where I tell about the poor girl, the daughter of a cleaning wife, who ended up as one of Denmark's most powerful women. Then we walk past Dannerhuset, into Ørstedsparken and inside the ramparts via Teglgårdsstræde and further down into the heart of the city. Along the way, I tell exciting stories about the cool women of the past — everything from Countess Danner and Nathalie Zahle to folk tales of maids, slum sisters and mermaids. The city walk in Copenhagen ends with the wildest story of the scientist genius Inge Lehmann, who became a world star in America but remained unknown in Denmark. The women form the setting for the stories and you get a new look at your old town.

Take the man with you - he will never forget it :-)
